Distributor spotlight – Herbjørn Haug

What does it take to help customers get the most out of their equipment? For Herbjørn Haug, Product Manager GET at Entrack AS, it starts with understanding the customer’s daily operation. Having worked with Combi Wear Parts for 3.5 years, experience with CWP products, insights from the field, and his approach to helping customers find the right solution.

What makes CWP wear parts stand out compared to competing products?

For machines above 50 tonnes, we see an advantage in terms of service life and penetration. The price is also at a level that can be justified by the performance. It is a premium system, but one that offers value that can justify the investment.

Which product do you sell the most – and why?

C-REX R70 is the product we sell the most, as this is where we see a particularly strong offering compared to competing solutions. The 90 mm mechanical lip shrouds from the ProTect-series are also in high demand and are often used in combination with R70.

Can you share an example of when a CWP product made a real difference for a customer? What was the result?

One example is a conversion from a competitor system at our customer Romarheim. Following the conversion, fuel consumption decreased by 10%, and the cost of replacement wear parts was reduced by nearly €0.13 per tonne loaded.

However, it is important to point out that we also made other changes to the bucket, so the reduction in fuel consumption cannot be attributed to C-REX alone. C-REX was, however, an important part of the overall solution.

What is your most important sales tip for other distributors?

Be the customer’s advisor. Take the time to really understand their daily operation and help them use their equipment in a smart and economical way.
